We Help You Fight For Literacy

We use the power of sports to raise awareness and financial support for your work. Thanks to the support of nearly 40 partner NCAA coaching staffs and teams we have funded 50 literacy projects in 20 communities and directly supported more than 8,000 kids.

How It Works

  1. Fight for Literacy Games - CFL partners with a sports team in your community to host a Fight for Literacy Game which is a movement of coaches, teams and fans who support literacy efforts through awareness, volunteer work and donations
  2. Literacy Partner - CFL invites select literacy partners to enter into its application process and then selects a partner program for the effort 
  3. Blow the Whistle - CFL shares a PR Overview with the partner so publicizing the effort is simple
  4. Assist for Literacy * - Fans are invited to pledge a donation (100% funds raised given to your program) for each assist the team makes for 4 games, beginning with the Fight for Literacy Game
  5. Social for Literacy ** - Literacy partner raises its own funds to execute the Social for Literacy component where $1 is donated to your program for every retweet of a specific hashtag by fans. (100% of funds raised given to your program)
  6. Lead and Read - CFL coordinates a reading day with your organization and the partner sports team
  7. Finish Strong - Literacy partner fills out a Grant Receipt Report and writes an ImpactStory within 6 months of grant allocation

* These components will only take place with permission of the partner NCAA team

We want donors to know how they are creating a brighter future. Your ImpactStory is to be emailed to info@coachingforliteracy.org no later than 6 months after your grant is receieved.

+ GRANT ALLOCATION

We will seek to deploy the grant within one month of the campaign's close. For any questions about the grant please email info@coachingforliteracy.org

+ PUBLIC RELATIONS SUPPORT
